This download option gives you the most flexibility. It is intended to be downloaded to a USB Flash drive that you can then use on any computer and any operating system - giving you a truly portable software option. This is the preferred download option.
Extract the contents to your USB Flash Drive - be
sure to copy the contents to the USB Drive - not the folder itself. Be sure to install to the root of the drive. Here is Installation To USB Video that demonstrates the process.
When extracting files, if given the opportunity, please be sure to select "Use folder names"
Run in accordance
with platform as listed below.
Windows: Run NMCollectorJE6.exe
Mac: Run NMCollectorJE.app
Linux: Navigate to the installation directory in a
terminal window and issue the following command: java -jar NMCollectorJE6.jar

Requires at least Java 6 on your
computer. Most computers come with it already installed.

Notes for important upgrade information.
Use the "Upgrade Only" from this page
to upgrade
to the latest version without over writing your data. The "Full Installation" includes the database. Do not
use this if all you need is to upgrade to the latest version because it
will over write your existing data. The "Upgrade Only" does not include the database so it
will not over write your existing data. However, in order for it
to see your data you must install the upgrade to the same location as
the original install.
