There are two possible causes for this.1. Running NM Collector on Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8 seems just fine until the next time you open the program and updates to your data are not there. Unfortunately, Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 do not allow the database to be updated when the program is installed to the "C:\Program Files\..." or "C:\Program Files(x86)\..." directories but does not tell NM Collector that there is a problem so the software cannot report the problem to you. Unfortunately, you will only notice the problem after you close and re-open NM Collector Software.Solution: Please copy your NM Collector Software JE directory to another location. I would suggest C:\NM Collector Software JE2. Another cause for this is not having Java installed and operating properly on any operating system. Solution: Please see this page for troubleshooting Java on your computer: http://www.java.com/en/download/help/troubleshoot_java.xml. A lot of the troubleshooting on this page has to do with Java in the browser. NM Collector Software does not require Java in the browser, the Java troubleshooting does so you have to enable Java in the browser for troubleshooting. Once you verify that Java is working on your computer you can disable Java in the browser. Thanks
